Build progress & Racing

Dated: 11/11/2009

A really busy winter for our boat builder clients - with a number of new designs in build and others about to start. Quite a lot still 'under wraps’ - but a few that can be mentioned:
  • The 12m stepped hull Patrol boat RIB for Xingrui Yachts in China is now approaching completionm of the hull plug and looking good.
  • The New 12m Triple Step RIB design for Technohull is now finished and work can start soon. Some really exciting plans from Technohull.
  • New Technohull 888 leisure version about to be launched.
  • A new 10.7m RIB design underway
  • New stepped hull 9m mould for a UK RIB builder has been finished
  • High speed 'hard boat’ designs and builds underway
  • Moulding work has started on a development of our very successful 3C class batboat - now for production.
  • Model testing to commence soon on a new AYD high efficiency hull form sports fisher. This is an area we are looking to develop greatly in the future and also looking at applications for the motor cruiser market.

Also the racing scene is developing much interest - with endurance racing coming to the forefront. 2010 will see the 50th Cowes powerboat anniversary event which should be fantastic. Also hopefully a Round Ireland race in the same year. Then potentailly two different Round Britain races in the following years! Look out for new AYD designs moving forwards the technology of high speed offshore race boats!
